This painting was inspired by a visit to Montano's Restaurant.  The  array behind the bar just called out to me to be painted.  Well, that's not quite true 😅 actually my artist friend that was with me told me I needed to paint this😬 This was by far the most challenging piece I have ever attempted.  It was a big learning experience though.  But for a while I think I'll take a break from still life artwork!

So, I guess I must admit donkey's are up there pretty close to the top of my favorite animal to paint.  Some of them just have the cutest faces, so much personality!
