I love painting roosters, especially when done in transparent colors.  The transparent colors are so vibrant, and roosters so colorful.

Spring time always brings such beautiful wild flowers and bright green colors to the rolling hills of Virginia. It's almost like a patchwork quilt.

And yes, I'm getting ahead of myself as we approach the autumn colors of the landscape.

This is the second in my swan series, and the second painting of this same family of swans.  They are really a joy to paint.  It amazes me in the number of babies the mother swan can carry.

Boy, did life get in my way!! but I think it is beginning to be a little more "normal" whatever that is.  Anyway this is a painting of my friend's little beagle Jessie.  She is just such a sweet little dog.
