This barn is just one of the barns where a friend took several of us to plein air paint. There was a painting in every direction.  The mountain in the distance in Poor Mountain.  I hope to get to see it in the fall.

This is from photos I took at this historic home in Moneta, VA.  It was built in the 1830's.  I'm sure there are some pretty interesting stories if those walls could talk!
