Winter's Glow

11"x14"
Oil on Canvas

This barn reminds me of my childhood and where I grew up in Upstate N.Y.  It brought back many memories of my childhood growing up on a farm.

Another painting of a fun little donkey; he just can't wait to sink his teeth into that juicy red apple.  The donkey is a fun to paint subject:-}

Tobogganing

6"x8"
Oil on Canvas

This painting brought back lots of childhood memories.  This was one of my favorite things to do when I was a child growing up in Upstate New York.  Flying down a hill totally out of control and ending up crashing in the deep snow.  What fun :-)

The Blue Victorian

This is another Victorian home in Fine View on Wellesley Island, NY.  The homes there are just amazingly beautiful and always make me want to paint them.

Shades of Grey

20"x24"
Oil on Canvas

Elephants have always fascinated me, their super large size but the gentleness of them, well if they aren't angered :-)  They were a lot of fun to paint.

These migrating trumpeter swans were so beautiful.  I am always in awe at their gracefulness and beauty and the width of their wing span.  They are truly awesome to see.

Lost Paddle

8"x10" Oil on Canvas

I've been struggling on what to name this painting until this morning as I was posting it I realized this poor child didn't have their paddle.  I guess that is the reason for the sad posture of this little person.

The Smithy

10"x8"
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

It's been awhile since I have done a painting from the Booker T. Washington National Park; and it has usually been animals.  This photo was taken at one of the fall events; which is always fun.  There are people dressed in period costume going about their daily life in the timeframe of Booker T. Washington; shearing the sheep, harvesting crops, preserving foods, and many more.

Dreamers

8"x16"
Oil on Canvas

This was another fun painting challenge, the challenge was to do a painting from a song title chosen at random; "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was the song chosen from the hat.  Since animals are my favorite subject, this was really fun.

Pink Lady

6"x6"
Oil on Canvas

Poppies are one of my favorite flowers, however flowers are one of my least favorite subjects to paint.  "They" say it is good to occasionally get out of your comfort zone when painting....so here it is:-)  Happy Easter everyone.

Bite Me

This painting was done from a photo my friend gave me.  She knew I love painting animals and that I wouldn't be able to resist painting this mother and baby.

The Challenge

14"x11"
Oil on Canvas

This was a fun painting challenge from one of our Art Visions Gallery members.  She thought it would be fun to have a painting challenge every so often to get us out of our comfort zone.  Since I do not do still life paintings I was a bit intimidated, but found that I really had a fun time with this subject.
