These large birds are a fascination to me, they just spread those wings and they are absolutely awesome in size, but yet are so quiet and fast.  It was a joy to paint.

This was a piece I created for a challenge.  The painting must include a piece of nature.  In order to make it archival there were specific materials I needed to use.  It was a fun piece to create.

I have come to enjoy painting glass with all of the reflections that come thru and bounce off it.  If I can then paint it in transparent oil paints, as this one is, that is the best.  The transparent paint just glows even though it does have it's challenges.

Yep it's cows again.  I'm sure it's not a surprise😅. These two bovines will be on their way to the Bath County Art Show next week.  If you're looking for something to do, it's a beautiful drive to Bath County High School to view the show.  It runs from June 27 - July 5 at the Bath County High School, 464 Charger Lane, Hot Springs, VA.  It is a fantastic show with all works for sale in every medium and subject you can imagine.

It's that time of year again when there are plenty of blue birds, busy searching for nesting material and finding the perfect spot to build their nest.  I love hearing them outside my window happily singing with the sounds of spring.

These birds are fascinating, they are so patient, fast and still you think they are a statue; and then they send that sharp beak into the water and come up with a fish; and then with a few shakes of the head they swallow the whole fish!!!  What a digestive system!

This is a painting of my favorite model, my Grandson.  While on  summer vacation to the Finger Lakes area of NYS, the Captain of this tour boat asked Jackson if he'd like to Captain the boat.  Jackson couldn't wait to hop up in the captain's seat!!
